We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing our software development infrastructure, as well as automating deployment processes, and ensuring that our systems are running efficiently and reliably. You will play an essential part in the development of a game-changing product.
This is a hybrid role that will combine remote work with occasional in-office visits (Cork city centre). As our company continues to grow, we believe that having the flexibility to work from home is important, but we also recognize the value of in-person collaboration and teamwork. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely but can also join us in the office a few times a month. Your role in our team
Contribute to the design and creation of secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for a globally distributed FinTech application using the latest technologies
Autonomously own and execute on complex problems within the team and engage in technical choices with stakeholders
Ability to work very closely and integrate with the product engineering team to adopt a culture of change and to streamline software development, by managing and owning the entire automated build pipeline, DevOps toolchain and associated test environments from source control to software delivery.
Safeguard the DevOps environment through strategies, policies, processes, and technology
Contribute to building a culture based on excellence - developing efficient, performant solutions, using standard design patterns and leveraging healthy engineering standards
Your profile
At least 3 years of experience in DevOps or a related field
Collaborator – share ideas, and documentation, and contribute to best practices across software architecture, DevOps/CI/CD) and technology strategy
Conceptual thinker – ability to understand, extract, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies
What you need to bring
Experience in a similar DevOps role
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
A good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Virtualisation, and Operating Systems
Experience with core AWS technologies
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate complicated subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficient with one or more scripting languages: Bash, Terraform, etc.
Solid knowledge of Docker
Experience creating, maintaining build infrastructure, and supporting automated build pipelines in AWS.
What else you could bring (Beneficial)
Experience working with or delivering SaaS solutions and products
Experience with Java and related technologies
Experience working with some of the following technologies: AWS ECS, CloudFormation, Kubernetes
Experience working in a globally distributed team
